CrossFit is a universally scalable strength and conditioning program designed to increase work capacity across the 10 domains of fitness (cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy). By definition, CrossFit is “constantly varied, functional movements, executed at a high intensity.” CrossFit specializes in not having a specialty in order to prepare athletes for the unknown and unknowable. It combines aspects & movements from the weightlifting, gymnastic, and endurance sport world in order to create a variety of workouts that are both physically and mentally challenging. CrossFit promotes a healthy lifestyle in the pursuit of fitness.
